Cultural Decay in America

Well Pilgrim. The description of what the world bank does....would fit the same description of many mission statements found just about anywhere. In fact, they have done very little toward they're own stated purpose.

OK, for the sake of discussion I'll give you that. How many wars have they funded?

And I would take a good long look as to what really led up to WW2. One could begin with the Treaty of Versailles and what these people did to Germany. You may also want to look at why Hitler invaded Poland. Not the Wiki version.....the real one. :)

One of the few things I've taken a good look at - and read extensively about over the past 20 years - is World War II and what led up to it, not only from the US perspective but also from the British and Russian viewpoints as well. Next up are some of the German recounts. But all that aside, what is the real, non-Wiki reason Hitler invaded Poland? I'd like to hear a reasonable justification for the aggression of Nazi Germany, especially considering their unconditional surrender and their agreement to the terms of the Treaty of Versailles.

Good info on this site. The Money Masters

All wars are debt. The money is borrowed from central banks who have no loyalty to any country. They will fund both sides while making out pretty well. It matters not which central bank, as they're all interconnected. Countries tax populace for maintaining war machines (in part) but actual war requires huge loans and debt.

First off, have ultimate respect for someone willing to investigate true history, the waters so muddied by the victors, it's astounding to read the truth. The best way to cover for war crimes to that regard? Accentuate, magnify, and balloon up the defeated armies so called atrocities.

The treaty following WW1 had to be accepted by Germany because it was unconditional surrender. One might be challenged to find a more one sided and unfair treaty in all history. BTW, this is the main reason Japanese people walking down the street were suddenly vaporized in 1945. Japan had been trying to surrender for weeks, but unconditional was something they tried to avoid, because unconditional means your very structure and way of life can be altered.

The agreements involved pre WW2, and how the powers aligned themselves, is something you obviously already know. Hitler had basically decided to blow off the unfair treaty (rightfully so, IMV) as Germany was mired in total economic chaos. There's some great reads online describing Germany in the 1930's and how Hitler brought a once proud nation back to some semblance of dignity. No need to link them here, but when doing searches, this poster does not simply type in the key phrase.....type in what your looking for. For instance....unfair treaty of Versailles.

Hitler invaded Poland because the German people who lived there were being systematically eliminated. Many diplomatic ways were offered for this to stop, but Poland refused. One can research this easily, and plenty of proof this mini-genocide was taking place, including the actual speeches/writings given by German top officials.

The Germanic people were always survivors. The industrial machine, work ethic, and overall make up of these people was actually something to behold, not to mention some keen minds and great scientist's. The Poles had always disliked them, those uppity British had always feared them, and Russia had some intentions of they're own....not lost on Hitler.

As a leader of free people (and German people were that, under Hitler) this poster would not stand by while my fellow countrymen are being slaughtered. Neither would I much appreciate England's grandiose ideas about how the world should be, nor would I sit back and watch communism reach my doorstep. Not advocating what Hitler did, nor do I admire world leaders (well, maybe Andrew Jackson, or a few choice others) but we should try to understand both sides?

After all, if we're going to trial, I want all the info for the verdict. In short? Would not feel real comfortable about having most Americans on my jury.....if charged with a crime. Especially if the accuser is the only one doin the talkin. :D

As for this current occupant on foggy bottom? Legislation for big business, handouts to those bankers, (after their gambling went bad, and the populace pays for it) and returning the favors that got him in office. Vote for POTUS? Puhleeese....these people are chosen, you get to decide between tweedle dee and twittle dumb, and on with The Big Show. Germany loved their leader for good reason....he did things for them. How it escalated from there, is an interesting read. :)

Adolph Hitler foretold his invasion of Poland long before he actually came to power in Germany. In his book, Mein Kampf which was published in 1925, Hitler made the case for "Lebensraum" (living space). Hitler envisioned a mighty German nation rising up from the shame of the Treaty of Versailles. According to Hitler's worldview, the German nation needed more living space. In other words, he was advocating for territorial expansion. A good, old fashioned land grab at the expense of a weaker neighbor.

Hitler bullied and intimidated much of Europe before real warfare began. Europe was still exhausted and demoralized from the horrors of WWI. Hitler played this to his advantage, quickly taking Czechoslovakia, then making designs on Poland.

Not given to political correctness in any degree, Hitler's rampant racism and grand plans for war are laid out in his book, foretelling his motives and intentions well in advance. Mein Kampf was written while Hitler was in prison for a failed coup attempt.

When a gifted speaker, with an eye toward political rule, announces his grand intentions to transform a nation... it shouldn't be laughed off. History does have a way of repeating itself.

Now, we just need to know why Hitler thought this way? The book is racing to the top of the E-Book charts, and may be number one by now. This is making some people nervous....why?

Isn't this more or less what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians ?

A mighty Zionist nation ... rising up from the shame of the Holocaust ?

Indeed it does ... sometimes in a rather ironic way ...

Excuse me for any cognitive dissonance I may have stirred up ...

In a way, yes. The difference being, the land did not belong to the Israelis to begin with...unlike Germany, whereby it was divided up by the victors after WW1.

And you've been so well behaved as late. ;)

It's an open discussion. :) Would be disappointed in seeing it turned totally into an Israeli issue....but it does offer a hint. Something changed the whole landscape for Adolf Hitler. He was peeved at someone for sure. He knew something.....as did Napoleon, Patton, Andrew Jackson, and a few others throughout history.

No ... I just haven't been around here much lately ... ;)

No need or interest in doing so ... the relevant point was made and various cognitive dissonance stews stirred ;)

I read he was pizzed at Jewish banksters trying to extort Germany. When Hitler told them to screw off, they sent the word out to the Jews not to buy German products. This hurt Germany, particularly in their trade with America.

Just saying what I read. I don't know whether to believe it or not, since I wasn't there. But I find it harder to believe what the victors, in this case, said to be fact. Victors, throughout history, have bent the truth to make the losers out to be bad guys, and the winners to be bastions of goodness (The US Navy... a global force for good). That's rarely the case. The US government has a lot of history of being evil. We, as Americans, have just rarely heard it, and have even more rarely, called the government's spade a spade.

Getting warm in this case is like a game we used to play. ;)

American ground solders are well intentioned and often very brave people. Leadership at the high level however....occasionally turn out to be just as bad as those they're pointing a finger at. Back when the populace wanted to just mind their own business and live a good life in this country, they often told those leaders NO!

Indications of social decay comes when a people begin the shoulder shrug routine and start believing everything they're told.

Ben Franklin stated "A Republic, if you can keep it" which meant due diligence.

And John Adams:

Letter to Jonathan Sewall (October 1759)

"Tis impossible to judge with much precision of the true motives and qualities of human actions, or of the propriety of rules contrived to govern them, without considering with like attention, all the passions, appetites, affections in nature from which they flow. An intimate knowledge therefore of the intellectual and moral world is the sole foundation on which a stable structure of knowledge can be erected."

Letter to Jonathan Jackson (2 October 1780)

"There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution."

Mind sharing the source of this information? Regardless of what it might be, there's another accounting of Hitler's rise to power and his development of the Final Solution:
1. Hitler almost certainly acquired his anti-Semitic ideas during his time as a struggling artist in Vienna.
2. He believed in a Jewish world conspiracy, and that communism was a Jewish plot to undermine nations.
3. Anti-Semitism was prevalent in Germany during the 19th century, perpetuated by nationalist politicians and writers.
4. During the 1920s Hitler kept his anti-Semitic ideas in check, as he attempted to build a ‘respectable’ party.
5. Once in power the Nazis unleashed a propaganda war on Germany’s Jews, led by men like Julius Streicher...
Nazi propagandists released a wave of anti-Semitic material that took many forms, yet revolved around consistent themes. The Jews were portrayed as a race of greedy, depraved and conniving untermensch (sub-humans) who preyed upon hapless Germans. Jewish men were painted as defilers of Aryan women, rapists and child molesters. Jewish traders and storekeepers could not be trusted, selling inferior goods to Aryan Germans for a fast profit. Jewish bankers extorted money from ordinary Germans and used their financial control to paralyse German prosperity. Jewish artists, movie producers and theatre owners produced material which undermined German morality and Christian values....

The above article is brief and well worth the read. Keeping in mind that the German population was rendered vulnerable to Hitler's tactics due to the economic conditions imposed by the worldwide depression. Thus, the German culture at the time was one looking for any solution to their ills and a statist plan that offered an identifiable group (the Jews) to blame was easily sold to the public.

Do we see a similar trend happening in today's politics? As the income gap between the middle class and the evil rich 1 percenters widens because of Obama's policies, our political leaders continue to blame them and their corporations and banks for our economic ills. More govt. programs, spending and debt is offered as a solution for the problems. Govt propaganda is generated to misrepresent employment figures and the consequences of the rising debt. "History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes" - Mark Twain. The following article is a good example of how that developed in Nazi Germany.

The source is somewhere in my brain. LOL It was an article I read many years ago.

IMO, Obama is but a pawn. Politicians may speak of the conniving banksters and corporate giants, but they are also in their back pockets. The fed is running things. How else would there be a $9 trillion loan to the likes of Morgan Stanley and BoA in 2008, and we don't hear of it until last year? And how does BoA have a net worth of $150 billion, gets loaned $600 billion, then pays it all back in a couple of years? Because we are privy to the smoke screen they give us, and not to the reality of things. We don't see that the 1% of the 1% are hungry for more; and they're getting it any way they can... and at the expense of the world as we know it.

What tactics though? Hitler was there to raise a people from the ashes of an unfair treaty....which blamed and punished Germany for the whole of WW1. Germany was not to blame for all of it, and the beat down was for other motives. And to the Jews....that part of history needs clarification. One needs to understand why it's unlawful to speak of it, in most of modern Europe. Why?

Do we see a similar trend happening in today's politics? Absolutely correct IMV. Just pass the football back and forth, obfuscate, and point fingers at one another. You come across a dead body and two people hanging around....both pointing at the other. Now the investigation begins; as to who benefits, what the facts are, and motive....to best determine who's the guilty.

The problem arises when you assume both are guilty...or not guilty. No investigation at all, and no conclusion in truth.
