School shooting at a Denver high school this morning, two staff members in the hospital. Two things jump out about the circumstances of this incident:

1. Denver abolished school resource officers last year.

2. Unbeknownst to parents, the school had a "safety program" in place where certain students were frisked every day for weapons. The shooter was one of these "at risk" students and was known to have brought weapons to school in the past. Why was he even allowed to be there in the first place? He's still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

Some of our members will be apoplectic but it's time to widen the "adult" scope the left wants to apply to voting at 16, birth control and abortion at 14 or younger and apply it to any individual possessing a firearm or edged weapon and having attained at least 14 years since birth with the harshest penalties allowed. This adult student should be charged with 2 counts of attempted capital murder. No less.
