Credit cards

In another posting a person mentioned using a Cabela sporting goods credit card for business purposes. He said he had accumulated about $150.00 in store credits. What other companies offer store credits, gas credits, etc that a guy might want to check into? Since I pay my personal and business cards off each month, I might as well maximize the use of a card.

Thanks. :+ :+

I have a Mastercard that pays 3% rebate on fuel purchases at Conoco, Phillips 66, and Union 76 stations and pays 1% rebate on all other purchases. Wilco-Hess has a card that pays 5% rebate on fuel purchases I believe. I'm sure there are others but the fuel rebate cards seem like the best deal to me since that's our biggest expense. Oh, a friend has a State Farm card that pays a rebate that comes off your home/auto insurance but I don't know how much the rebate is.

I use a Cti Bank Master Card that pays 5% back on fuel,3% on Supermarkets and drugstores and 1 % on everything else. They have a $300 max yearly payback so we have 2 accounts. Last year got back $600.00
I also have a Marriott Rewards Visa, this card give points that can be used for any Marriott Motel including Fairfields.Pretty good deal,7,000 points will get you a Fairfield night..

I have a Sears Master Card with a rewards program. I charge all my fuel and just about everything else. I never carry over a balance. At least once a year I cash in my points for $350.00 worth of fun tickets at Sears.

I thought about the Citi card but didn't get it because of the $300 cap. That's $6000 in purchases and after that no more rebate. With fuel prices what they are that's maybe 2500 gallons of fuel so before the end of March the rebates are used up.

The card I have is basically good for 3% rebate only at Flying J and only at the ones with the Conoco sign so it's somewhat limited. I'm about to give up on the J so I may look at the Citi card again. I looked at a brochure to a card through T/A I think it was, a BP card that I think had a 5% rebate, and it had more fees than you could shake a stick at. By the time you paid all the fees the rebate was gone. I don't think there's a card out there that's truly driver friendly but the search will continue.
