Crash EB I-70 at 59mm Indiana

If anyone is eastbound on I-70 in Indiana there is an approx 8 mile backup beginning at Exit 51 due to an overturned semi just west of Exit 59. It was a Bolt Express truck. Unsure of any injuries. Praying for all involved. You can get back on at SR 39 and not have any delays as the accident is west of the ramp.

That looks pretty bad. I hope the driver is alright. On a side note that would be a great marketing tool to use when she shipper you are soliciting asks why they should use your company and not Bolt! J/K

Certainly doesn't look good. As mentioned, I hope that driver's injuries aren't too severe.
It is a clear reminder of how things can go bad in a matter of seconds.

I spoke to one of my fellow firefighters who works in that district. I am happy to report that the driver of the truck was already out of the vehicle on the arrival of the fire department and had very minor injuries. Very lucky guy!!!

Dang. I wish I had a nickel everytime I've been through that interchange......at least it was close to home, right?

I understand the carrier's desire to protect the privacy of drivers involved in a crash, [not to mention their own image], but I can't help thinking that keeping it hushhush is missing a 'teachable moment' for the rest of us. It could be a sobering reminder, if we knew how it happened, and what the driver might have done differently. If the Safety department could present some actual scenarios [not identifying the driver], I think we would get more from it than we do an anonymous video rehashing what we already knew.
I'm glad both drivers are ok, because I know it could have been me - sometimes, stuff just happens. And that's a lesson, too.
