Count your blessings, don't sweat the small stuff

So many complaints. So much grumbling. So many unhappy about so much. Not a day goes by there aren't lots of problems discussed. A few weeks ago I mentioned a good friend of mine had a stroke. That was Jan 16 and he died Saturday night around 22:00. He never regained consciousness. His two high school age boys have no dad to see them graduate or go through college or have families of there own or anything else a man would do during the last 30-40 years of his normal lifespan. That's a problem. I don't have problems, I have annoyances. Most people don't have problems, they have annoyances. When you get wrapped up in things thinking about how big a problem they are step back a step and look again. You most likely don't have a problem. You probably have an annoyance. Be thankful for your annoyances. Annoyances let you know you are still alive and you don't have a problem.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your friend. Sometimes it takes an event like this to make us stop and think. Thank you for the reminder.

Thank you for the kind words. While I know there is a better life ahead for him it makes it no less difficult for his family. It certainly makes one realize how small the annoyances are that we face every day.

Thank you again for the condolences. In another thread it was posted about Glen Rice and his latest challenge. That's another example of the fact that most everything is just an annoyance and not a problem. We need to all be thankful for having so much, even when we may think we have little and most of that only problems. We really have a lot and don't have problems.

Not very many days go by while out here on the road we are not thankful for the job we have, the freedom we have, the friends we have, the position in life we are at now, and our future. When you watch the sun come up on another wonderful day you cannot help but be thankful. What better way to start the day then looking out a windshield at this wonderful country?

My heart goes out to that family and his friends Leo.

Regarding the rest of the comments, I had the privledge of being laid over with a new friend last week. My patience was applaudable, but his description of me was a pretty good observation. (Wound Tight), you know there are annoyances in life, and even though I am wound tight he also noticed one thing, I sure do smile alot.

So people reading this keep that attitude happy and the tightness of the rope, will or should shrink away. Not that I ever have any though, right Star. Tennants, Houses maybee.
