Today's broccoli doesn't make yesterday's liver taste any better. We should be demanding something better, not settling for 'not as bad'.
The logic (sic) that got us where we are today.
I pity the presidential candidates of the future, the teens and 20-somethings of today. It should be interesting, if I live that long, to see the cascade of 30-year old Facebook posts of keggers and spring-break shenanigans, that the candidates of the '40s will have to justify

The logic is fine, it's the putting the logic into action that has failed us.
Something better, whether demanded or requested or whatever, should be the goal every time. By definition, "not as bad" is better and the opposite is worse. The problem is failing to recognize that "not as bad" is better than accepting worse and in some cases actively choosing worse.
I would think the more important question would be why in the world would we WANT any of these past presidents again? There has not been a quality candidate run in this country for the better part of 75 years, or longer. From what I see now, nothing seems to be changing for the 2016 fiasco.

Eliminate the income tax
Eliminate several government agencies.
Cut the power of the regulatory agencies.
Lower corporate taxes.
Eliminate deficit spending.
Obama could not have shot JFK. Obama has NO clue how to handle a rifle. That takes skill, talent and years of HARD WORK. None of which Obama possess or is familiar with.
