Let's put it this way, at 61 I can just about tell you where every baseball and puck hit me over the years. Every strain and broken bone comes back to haunt. The arthritis is a BLAST, you will REALLY enjoy that!

The one that bothers me the most is my hearing loss. Not caused by massive speakers in my car, but by prior employment. I really miss being able to hear. That cannot be fixed unless there is a massive change in medical science.

I am not deaf.. There are days i wish I was. I have tinnitus. Somedays, it's so bad it sounds like someone is blowing a horn in my ear.. non-stop.

Days like that I was I was deaf.

I have tried the crap on the radio, and other "remedies" none of them did anything but make my wallet easier to carry.

mine was also work related.

I have tinnitus and hearing loss. The tinnitus is non-stop. I swear it wakes me up at night. I understand that it does not go away when you go deaf. I am headed for that some day.

This is correct. Hearing loss is caused by a different part of the ear. They don't know exactly what causes tinnitus.

They tell me that they now have hearing aids that produce 'white noise' to 'cancel out' the tinnitus. I am going to try those the next time I get new hearing aids.

that is what I am also looking at. my insurance company said no because I don't 'need' hearing aids.

So.. at my next exam.. I'll be sure I need um if you know what I mean.

My hearing loss and tinnitus is 'service connected' so I get mine at the VA. I am lucky in that respect. I would rather just have my hearing back. I have had hearing aids since 1996,
