I am not sure if we are going to be attending the Expo....so sorry to let you know that you may need a different reefer truck this year........if we are in the area, we will stop by.......

What? What? Did I miss something? (again)
I had sort of fallen into that position because I love to eat.
When I talked to Kristy earlier this year I told her that I'm totally willing to bring side dishes but am taking off my organizer cap.
Bruno, I know that your offer of the reefer trailer is going to be welcomed. Sharon and Gary Guthrie did reefer duty for us the last 2 years. Its great to see someone else stepping up.

If I remember correctly, you fell into it because you're dam good at organizing, and it was mostly your stuff - it has gotten a LOT bigger the last couple years!

A big thanks to Sharon & Gary for the reefer, and to Dave M for offering to step in & take their place [but I hope we'll still see them there!]
I'll bring the cake - can't promise the strawberry & custard one - it'll be whatever Costco has that day.
O - and the 4 [or however many I have] cold bean salad for those who insist on eating veggies, even at a cookout.

So here is what I think we will do. I'll create another thread where everyone can post what they will contribute. We have some long time grillers - who are fantastic. The cool thing about this - is it' all driver driven' - no pun intended.

Great Lawrence.I myself love the format...drivers doing for drivers...all from different carriers, all with different business backgrounds, but 1 common goal...success! All take a different path to reach the same destination..

Miss Kat we would bring the one reefer trailer down that is parked at our office. We would also send both KW DR units down to the Expo to make a C shaped area for the cookout.

I sincerely meant no harm in my post about cooking with Chef Dennis at the Expo. I had no idea that there were folks that traditionally did the cooking each year.
Chef Dennis and I live within blocks of each other. In my previous career I was the Executive Chef for a major glass company based in Toledo, and also catered private parties. Chef Dennis still does private parties. I have a Culinary Certificate and a degree in Hospitality Management. Cooking is still my passion, even though I have been in trucking over 30 years now. Whenever I speak with Chef Dennis, I talk about cooking together - the Expo seemed like an ideal opportunity.
You folks do your cooking at the Expo. Perhaps Chef Dennis and I can come up with something special to do for a desert or a side dish for all of you.
