Considering Expediting

I have driving experience in tractor-trailer combinations, straight trucks, charter coaches and concrete mixers, and I have a class A with current medical. I'm considering the expedited freight business around the Portland, Oregon area. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone that can assist me with info on expediting in the N.W.? Are there any reputable companies that I can contact? I'd rather not jump in blind and become just another truck owner chasing too little freight. (But, maybe that's what this business is all about ) Thanks....Dave

Most of the major players are located in the midwest.I think you might try Landstar Express America as they deal with individual agents and they probably have someone in the Portland area.Also there is a company that runs a ad on this site called Sunny Express.I believe they are in California..
