Or it could paint Ms Lerner as someone who, in an email convo with her husband, refers to some of the far right talk radio fans as 'crazies', and even calls them the same name as John Boehner called Steve King: azzholes.

So she didn't call all conservatives crazy or azzholes, just the ones that most rational people [even conservatives] would agree resemble that remark: the rabid rightwing Dittoheads, et al.
If the conservatives keep whipping up tempests in teapots, they'll have no more credibility than the ones Lerner referred to. You know: the ones who take something out of context and blow it up to scream bloody murder over it, in their blogs. And the ones who cite it as 'proof' of their persecution.
