In 60 days we elect a new Congress. Conservatives, do your duty: vote early and often. Demoralize the Dems. Suppress liberal turnout. Take other conservatives to the polls on Election Day. Make sure like-minded family members vote in November. Midterm elections are notoriously a low turnout event. Every vote matters. Let's give Team Obama some shock and awe.

We haven't had a truly conservative government since the era of Reagan. Let's get a conservative majority in Congress now and take the White House in 2012.
Voting independent just throws the election to Democrats. The liberal b*******s outnumber us 2-1.

There is no need to "reach across the idle" and let the libs continue the BS they dumped on the country since the Dems took over the house and senate....I have no problem with a "small tent" and pushing the RINO's and moderates out in the rain right along with the libs....

Ronald Reagan was NOT a Constitutional conservative. He was more like a "Classic Liberal". We have NOT had a true conservative president in my life time. THAT would be CHANGE!!! There are NONE in the wings that I know of. Just more of the same ole garbage. Many loser and retreads from years past with the same old worn out ideas. Just vote em all out, keep doing it in EVERY election for the next 20 years or so. THAT will get the big money out, THEN, we can start to fix it.

No. Was he conservative? Absolutely. Granted, Reagan cut a deal on amnesty. It was the singular mistake of an otherwise stellar presidency.
No, he cut and run in Libya as well. We are STILL paying for that HUGE mistake. His stand on gay marriage was unconstitutional. Marriage, of any kind, is NOT a Federal matter. A constitutional conservative would follow the constitution.
In your search for the perfect candidate, remember we are dealing with humans. Reagan stands alone as a conservative leader in American politics of the 20th century. He and Barry Goldwater pretty much wrote the book on American conservatism. Actually, Goldwater wrote the book. Reagan executed the plan. I doubt we will ever have it quite so good again as we did in the 1980's.

He didn't show the signs of a classic liberal until 1988, then it was too late. I think if he eliminated the department of commerce, education and a few other departments and limited the EPA, the IRS, push an amendment to limit the size of government and put together a tax code that had two tiers that can never be changed, then you can consider that a start.
Reagan was the right guy for the times, the times are past and he is gone. We have a completely changed country and a completely changed value system.

Yes, I know we are dealing with people. How is NOT following the Constitution being a conservative? You lost me there. We COULD have it FAR better than the 80's IF we elected a person who would REALLY follow our Constitution. I would be willing to bet, however, that there are VERY FEW people in this country who want that. That includes those that call themselves moderates, conservatives or liberals. That is just how it is.

Not ONE political leader in my ADULT lifetime has inspired me. I could tolerate Reagan. I could not STAND ANY of the others. NONE in my State.
I don't know about the political spectrum. I want to see the Constitution followed. Period. Start shutting down LARGE segments of the Federal Government. Get rid of the Czars, the education department, the SBA, etc etc etc. Start taking laws OFF of the books. DO NOT pass a SINGLE law at the Federal level until EVERY law that does NOT adhere to the Constitution is off the books. Put the SC back in it's place. Eliminate the "Executive Order".
