I was in Canada all day and was unable to catch any of the calls. Is there anyone who did who would care to provide a summary of details on the subjects discussed and the questions answered? Thank you.

A few of the highlights of the call were:

There have been a few changes that will be affecting the new QC

The EOBR will not kick in until after we drive a mile for more ease of use getting around a truckstop so we can go to the shop, get washed or even find a parking spot without starting the clock.

Starting June 1st every 24 hours while not under a load we will have 45 minutes of personal conveyance.

There are now three places to get the new QC installed - PJ's - Indianapolis - West Memphis

Jason talked about the new miles for the Vans of 700 for solo's and 1400 for teams except on HazMat loads. They will be watching these miles from a safety issue and the miles could change.

Scott McCahan talked about CSA 2010 and trying to improve our score. There will be letters being sent to anyone that has a score at this time. The letter will also show what violations we might have and how we can contest this if we need to. FCC will not get in the middle of this issue we will have to contact the necessary people about our score.

Jason also talked about how well business is and that over this next holiday weekend staying available to accept loads. The load count at this time is above expectations.

Thank you for the info. We missed the call because we were on the move with one of us, either driving or sleeping.

I offer again the suggestion that these calls be put on the extranet so recorded versions can be listened to on demand.

Thank you. Was there any info about progress being made by the IT dept. to be able to provide hard copies of EOBR generated logs to the contractors?

Not that I know of.

As far as I know it will be up to us to keep records of when we are away from home. We can use the calender as I have suggested, receipts, and also our BOL's to verify we were away from home.

I wish I had the time to have listened and got to ask some questions. Is Jason going to be at Expo to talk with us? I have some VERY serious problems with being told just how much personal conveyance time I can have and how it is allotted. I am starting to feel like an employee instead of an independent contractor. I make the payments on this truck, NOT FedEx.

It could become a deal breaker. Not for sure, I will wait to see how it ends up. I am very unhappy with this part of the EOBR thing. I will keep my existing QC until forced to change.

I have yet to get answers to ANY of my questions about the new contract as well. Not good. There seems, at least to me, to be a break down in communication between FedEx and contractors. Their attitude of late is going to start costing them contractors, not that they seem to care.
