It should be here this fall as a '13 model year. They look great I see them running around Detroit area.

They will be 2013 models, built in Kansas City USA. I've heard probably four engine choices, all fours, two gas & two diesel, one of each with a turbo. Also looks like they will have a manual transmission option with FWD, RWD, and possibly AWD. Three heights and three wheelbases, the longest being 158" wb. I think 3 skids at best though.

There are two cab/chassis, one with a platform bed and one with a ladder chassis. That being said, they will all be unibody instead of on frame. I've already seen several class C motorhomes built on these chassis and you know if a motorhome works, so will a box! Ford says 25% better fuel economy than today. They will be known as the "T" series . . . T150, T250, T450 & T550. No mention of a T 350 that I've heard. The E series will "continue for a few years" to ease transition. However, the E Series cab/chassis will continue for many years as it is the best shuttle & box truck chassis out there.

The e series cutaway is also used on ambulances. Since they reuse the bodies. I think the cut away econolines. will be around a while.

How about the maint not cost an arm and a leg for simple things like head lights and oil changes. I have no desire to buy a vehicle that is assembled from parts made in Europe due to the high exchange rates. A gas engine instead of diesel would also be nice.
