Unless something unexpected suddenly arises, Flying J should emerge from bankruptcy by July 31.
That's good. Maybe they'll resume maintaining their properties. I've been at some Js the last few weeks that are falling apart. Amazing how fast they deteriorate if you cut back on maintenance. The J north of Baltimore is really falling apart.

Or, otoh, if Pilot starts calling the shots, maybe they'll get worse.

Maybe there's a lesson in there for vehicle maintenance; you slack off on it, and things go downhill fast.

Nope, still the inside. Told ya, change for the worse... It's like if you had two sons, one of whom was somewhere between average and mediocre, and the other was a bright kid with the world on a platter. If the first one is doing ok in school but struggles when he hits algebra and trig and such, you just figure he wasn't cut out for that. If the bright one does it, you're not okat with it because he's slacking when he's capable of so much more.

So yeah, I'm pretty ticked when Pilot destroys what used to be a fine truck stop, like the Giant, or the old Williams-Mapcos, and what they're about to do to the Hook.

I fueled the other day (6-9-10) at the J with Comdata, and got a cash advance just to see how that was gonna work, too. Swiped the Comdata card, then swiped the Frequent Fueler card, then fueled up, and the receipt clearly shows the Frequent Fueler card was properly recorded when swiped. I should have gotten half a shower credit, but it's not there.

I've sent an e-mail to the Loyalty Card Division at the Flying J World Headquarters in Ogden. I'll let you know what I get back.

A phone call is more effective..takes more time of course, but resolution is better understood....The girl at the other end put 2 FULL credits on my card as opposed to the regular halves to make up for the error. She was very pleasant as well...

I wonder if it's something like the Wright Express cards. You don't get shower credits when you use a Wright Express card, no matter how much you put in. Maybe you don't get shower credits with comdata, either.

will they now except 'fleet one' ?

lost my frequent fuller card this week ,
which made me not so frequent fuller this week.
at least not at the J.
finely called it in ,
apparently they swap the remaining points/showers to my new one, it'll be home in couple's week's .
till then they gave me the new card # :0000078698434.
all i need to do now is show it to the FD before fueling /showering...
learned something new.

I would have called, did actually, but it was 12:30 AM and the Loyalty Card Division only works 8/5 instead of 24/7, so I sent an e-mail instead. The e-mail resulted in a phone call, to me, from them, to clear things up. Apparently there was a slight hiccup at some terminals that resulted in a delay in shower and drink cup credits showing up immediately. Mine showed up sometime between the e-mail and the phone call, and the 15 gallons I bought this morning showed up immediately on the card. All is well.

You should have a credit on your Frequent Fueler card for an RV dump. I don't know how it gets figured and applied, but I had one for $7 on 05/05 that expired on 06/04, and now another one for $10 on 06/03 that expires on 09/13.

From Flying J:
For our best customers, those that are members of Flying J's Frequent Fueler and RV Real Value clubs, a $5.00 dump station coupon will be added to their card based on fuel purchases. The club member must present their card to the cashier at the point of purchase to receive the discount.

I haven't bought much fuel at the J in the last few weeks. Been at home and mostly where Flying J's aren't, so someone with more of a recent history of fuel purchases might be able to figure out how many gallons of fuel it takes to get a $5 credit. Or, someone could just give 'em a call on Monday and ask.
