Okay. Curious though, do you agree with his use of the words "gun-grabbers" in his article? I would be inclined to think you would since you took the time to link to the article.

the irony never hit me till you pointed it out...like I said....a pro gun site using that terminology is strange....

reading the story again...it was meant in a positive light, not a negative one....like Ok gun grabbers, here is a great story...anyone pro gun would be a "Gun Grabber"

So you thought the author of the story was using "gun-grabbers" in a positive sense?

Such as, Pro-Gun = Gun Grabber?

I can see how you could make that connection, but this part of the article should've tipped you off: :D

We’re tired of being polite. This needs to be common practice.
ALLOW LEGALLY ARMED STAFF TO CARRY ON SCHOOL GROUNDS.
END GUN FREE ZONES.

Share this with as many people as you can, because these are the stories that don’t stay in the headlines for very long. It’s extremely important that people see these mass shootings when they end in this fashion. The media tends to give much more attention to the shootings that have a higher death toll. The reality is, the story above should have more coverage because of the low death toll and praise the officer for defusing a horrible situation that would have been much worse.

To the author of the above. For God's sakes, all I've seen is wall to wall coverage of this shooting and the fact that there was a armed police officer on site and how heroic the guy was and how they learned from Columbine, etc, etc, etc. So shut up and quit complaining about something that isn't even happening.

aaahhhhh......they're comin' for our guns.

Just shut up already!

Did we really learn anything?....or did Colorado just get lucky that an OFF DUTY officer just happen to be moonlighting and working at the school that day.....

It just wasn't by chance or, that, "Colorado just got lucky" that there happened to be an officer on duty that day. You do realize a pretty lengthy chain of events had to happen just for him to be there in the first place, right?

Seriously. What?

It's hard to decipher what you are talking about, but I will try though as futile as it may be. Show me a legitimate piece of news, a protest, an opinion piece, legislation or something where the so called"gun-grabbers" were against properly trained and armed law enforcement in our schools.

Read it again. The "gun grabbers" as in the moron left may or may not be against armed guards in schools. I suspect some of them are against it. The point was/is that they will politicize events such as this for all the negative publicity they can muster as another call to infringe and restrict honest citizens when that will have zero effect on the problem.

OR, it means we are going to not allow these things to happen.

MAYBE, if parents spent more time with their kids these things would stop.

Civility? Here? We can't even have that in these forums.

Out of control? Many are. We made the choice to let things get out of control when we allowed PC to take hold.

exactly what I meant....our society as a whole is crappy when we need armed guards everywhere....imagine in a kindergarten, junior school....gee whiz......our youth should not need this...in a FREE world....the greatest country in the world you claim and you need an armed escort just to take your kids to school....shame on this country....

I hate to admit it but OVM is 100 % right.

Imagine this scenerio....in the morning of an American home....Dads getting ready for work, children ready for school.....
OH honey seen my ammo clip anywhere?.....as he straps on his piece.....imagine this happening in every American home?......yep FREE country alright....as long as one is armed all the time...I don't call that freedom at all...
This shouldn't have to happen in a FREE country....

I am NOT against guns...I am against people that think armed guards in our schools is ok.....that is NOT correcting the problem....only reacting to one....

Really?..... you are kidding me....armed guards at malls even....man you guys are really screwed....Thats not real freedom.....Freedom to me is to be able to go anywhere I want..I understand some areas are not without their challenges and out of common sense should be avoided....without fear, without being armed to the teeth....

You've really let this out of control...

Shame on us for not making consequences for abusing laws and society so intensely severe and frightening that nobody but the most insane would ever dare challenge them. That's the greatest disgrace of all.

Free country? Not any longer. Has not been for a VERY long time. We have surrender the streets to the criminals. The governments solution is to try to create MORE criminals. Standing back an doing nothing, will continue to make it easy for these things to happen. Until the People take back the streets, nothing will change.
