When discussing COE sizes one should state the BBC and not the sleeper size. Technically the cab and sleeper are one. As the BBC dimension increases so does the sleeper size.

Jeff... the one you're showing on ebay is WAYYYY overpriced! They want 18k for a truck with 950,000 on it. Normally, you'd pay a couple grand for that tractor. He'll never get close to what he wants for it.

I enlarged the photo of the odometer and although it's not a clear picture,it appears as if the mileage is now 965,000.DD.

Hum.........

I am told that if the Argosy cab has a fridge and cabinet in it than it is one of two sizes and is about equal to the 70" FL sleeper.

I am told that there should be 70" between the point of what is considered in a conventional truck the start of the sleeper to the outside back of the cab.

I am told that most of the trucks sold here in the NA market were the 98 and the 101 cab size - the 110 was not a common order.

AND

I am told that if I too have $105K, I can too drive off the FL lot my very own custom spec'ed 2008 Argosy, even comes with an ultrashift and automatic back scratcher. You can order the truck with any size sleeper you want - even a day cab - and they will be making them special order until 2010.

Oh and the sales lit is not accurate.

One last thing, is it me and my junky computer(s) or is it that the pictures posted made everything out of whack?

NOT a glider? So removing the automatic makes that 96ish................so how do these things last? Have they got all the same bugs that other FL's have, or more/less? Rattles, shakes and other cab noise? Does it suck getting in and out of one numerous times a day?

There's expediter trucks on Ebay that start way high priced all of the time. They expire not even having a couple of bids. A week later they repost.

Pictures look ok? Your computer?

Typical FL. Will be good for a month and then bring out the roll of velcro to quiet it down.

Dave,
It's not the pictures themselves, the text runs off the right side of the page. But it has to do with Firefox, IE looks ok.

Quality? Rattles? who cares, I drive an fl70 and it is ok - like driving an old '30 chevrolet.

Yes you can get a glider but they will put one together for anyone. I was told that most dealers will not even deal with the glider.

I wouldn't want a glider. I want an engine in my airplane.

I have FF as well and mine was doing the same for a few days - couldn't even scroll over to see what was there but it looks fine now.

IMO - if one is spending (big) $$$ on a new truck, I don't want something that's always making noises it shouldn't. How many Dodge Ram pickups would they sell if they made as much noise as say.............the M2 I drive? Not many me thinks, I got more napkins and rolled up Tim Horton's boxes in the dash than I can keep track of, don't even get me started on what's outside the cab. An Argosy would let me have what I want AND what I need, that being a sleeper, (even a small one) 28ft box and a railgate - but I don't know I want to live with the annoying noises and little things breaking/wearing out............KW might get the nod instead at the expense of a sleeper, which isn't really mandatory.

I like the FL Century/Columbia interior which I'm sure is pretty much the same as the Argosy. I just don't like the way it falls apart.

Usually the ones that are falling apart are not taken care of to begin with. I'm sure if you entrusted a box of China to a barbarian, you're bound to get a few dishes broken. Whomever drove my truck before I bought it had a little problem with not FRICKIN with the merchandise! :p

Perfect example of barbarian truckers... look at the interior of the cab, and the outside view of the upper bunk window...

2000 FREIGHTLINER ARGOSY Cabover Truck w/ Sleeper For Sale At TruckPaper.com

And they want HOW MUCH???

Then again, I've seen a number of 1 or 2 owner trucks that look as good as the day they first saw the road.

I never had an argosy but for about 1 year I had a chevy w-4 with 16' box signed on with panther.I really liked it as far as roi it was the best truck I ever had the ride wasnt that bad and I could afford to stay in motels with the money I was saving on fuel but keep in mind that was 1998
