You would need to read "Land Line" to see what OOIDA does for truckers. Members or not there are lots of O\O who have benifited from OOIDA. See JR? England Trucking for one. England paid out a fair amount of money to O\O when their Lease program was found to be less then what it was supposed to be.

During the time that OOIDA's "been there" for us, we've seen the decline of the trucking industry. Yeah, they've fought some individual fights and won. But as a whole, the industry has gone downhill since their inception. Having said that, yes, I'm a member because they're about all there is right now.

I belong for about the same reason. I don't think that they are in any way responsible for the decline of the industry or even contributed to it. They just happen to be there as it declines, as we are. :(

I forgot about the magazine which I enjoy, it informs me of the new laws and keeps me in the loop about many things. If that was all you got for your membership it would be well worth it.

you want real change or oooida power dont just pay your dues and read the magazine. write letters to your congressman even better call him and talk to him PROFESSIONALLY. and be a active registered voter. 20 phone calls aday to a congressman has more power than a 10,000 member organization.

Ive been wanting to join but havnt found or been recruited with 1 reason that effects me directly at this point as an O/O.
20$ is just 1 box of beer and I could give that up if someone could convince me.
Get the club to get our roads up to par where they should be in a timely manner and Ill join the next day.
Just asking here,,would the club not be considered a PAC?
