435 in Congress and 100 in the Senate: Come on now, how do they know how we feel? Are these folks reading what we send them in emails or letters? Do they even care? Do the math: 300,000,000 million of us, and 535 of them. 300,000,000 divided by 535 equals= about 561,000 citizens per representative, hmmm.....that is not fuzzy math..................


There is no way in Zell that these clowns have our back, no way at all. Just look at the confused state they are in all the time..Yep, just silver haired old dudes finding a place to hide so they can retire on our money, of course IMHO........

All I can tell you is in the three times I wrote to my congressman, Steven Latourette (R) Ohio, He personally wrote back to me... He is a good man. Unfortunately he has has had enough of the BS and has chosen not to seek re-election.

All I can tell you is in the three times I wrote to my congressman, Steven Latourette (R) Ohio, He personally wrote back to me... He is a good man. Unfortunately he has has had enough of the BS and has chosen not to seek re-election.

That is rare. I have NEVER had a straight answer from a national level politician. I have a state rep that is good, he personally CALLS those who contact him. I donated a small amount to his campaign because of that and he called and thanked me.

More likely, someone wrote you back but probably a staffer in the office who does nothing but write back to constituents mostly using boilerplate text.

You shouldn't post before you're awake, or at least I shouldn't. My earlier autopilot arithmetic response was arithmetically correct but failed to take into account the division between the two houses. There are 435 in the House to represent 300M which is about 690,000 each, counting the multi millions of illegals who shouldn't count for anything. Senators have anywhere from around 280k each to almost 19M each depending on which state they are from.
