I think the parents should lose their kids and be locked up, because, you know, nothing happened. But it MIGHT have!

agreed...but the parents should have been charged for endangering the animals...as per park regulations of NOT getting too close.....

Don't know if this is a family of city-dwellers or suburbanites. Most people are so far removed from the natural world they don't realize wild animals are just that. Wild. This family invaded the buffalo's space, prompting the beast to feel threatened. The parents are guilty of ignorance, perhaps.

They looked Asian. So they were probably from Japan, or China, or Seattle.

In his wonderful book "A Walk in the Woods", Bill Bryson mentions reading about bear attacks, and one that gave ME nightmares [Bryson was just "saucer eyed", lol] was when the parents smeared a toddler's hand with honey for a bear to lick off. :eek:
It's too bad they could replace the toddler's hand, but not the parents' brains, eh?

You can say whatever you want.

What this one boils down to goes beyond that one family. People who have NO idea how to act around wild animals and in the wild should stay out of the area. FAR too many people have NO clue what the world outside of the concrete is like. Many have NO idea where food comes from and NO idea what wild animals are like. They often believe they are what they see on cartoons, cute, cuddly, chatty creatures that just dance and sing "Kumbia" with each other.
