People will just go some where else to buy what they want/need and Chicago will lose even MORE money. IF not that, a STRONGER black market will meet the needs of the marker and there will be a net INCREASE in crime. (There already is a HUGE black market in illegal weapons and ammo, surely there is just NO ONE STUPID enough to believe that criminals just through the legal hoops to practice their trade)

I don't think that even THEY think it will bring in much, if any, money. That is only the STATED goal. The REAL reason is to put into place yet another step in the quest to outlaw private firearms owner ship. That is the goal of EVERY Marxist, LiBeRaL and other assorted control nuts out there. TOTAL control of the People, which cannot occur until that final and ultimate 'check and balance', the 'Armed Citizen' is eliminated, no matter how that is done.
I think gun owners should agree to the tax, IF legislators agree to pay a Dumb Ideas tax, an Incompetent tax, and an Overpaid tax, too.
Add to those a "useless tax", an "irrelevant tax" a "disgusting tax" AND and environmental surcharge for wasting air.
