Allow citizens to carry and people aren't vulnerable any longer it's very hard to kill a person that can defend them selves by shooting back

Agreed. Typically what government does. Create a problem then tax the people to pay for their solution. Or to put it plainly . You can't be trusted with firearms. So we need more Police to protect you from the bad guys. And the people keep electing the same politicians. So it's their own fault.
