Code is 6-1,thats a short in the electical connection between an injector and injector harness.If you have a ddec IV Detroit motor,you can check the injector to see if its any good,and repair the conection,but if you have the better idea,ddec V as I do,you must find which injector is shorting out,and replace it and the harness,but the injectors cant be tested,except by pluging the computer into the obd plug.Over xmas,I had this fixed,6 injectors were taken out,and sent for inspection.,remember cant be tested,was told all ok so re-use them,so injectors were put back,harness ends were rebuilt with new ends,all put back together with a tune up and oil change,was $850 dollars to put on last years expenses.Today I am in Richmond Va,Detroit motor garage,what am I doing,check engine light is on,6-1 code,this time new #1 injector and a new harness being put back on,as should have been done back over xmas.Moral of the story,If you have a Cat,Detroit,Cummins,go to their respective garages and get repaired,sometimes money per hour will cost you less but more,as was stated in the movie White Men Cant Jump,sometimes when you win,you loose.
