I need to check on that, I haven't been in the Western states but I imagine the Eastern mountains require them from time to time. I'll have to get them somewhere other than here in Chicagoland, though, seems you can't beg, borrow or steal a set of chains around here.

BUT I must stress this - DO NOT buy tire chains that were made in China.
I will repeat DO NOT buy tire chains that were made in China.
They may say they meet the standards, like case hardening of the links but they are not spot tested and will not be safe.

Time to drag the chains back out and put them in the truck. Colorado chain law starts Sept. 1 . hi-ho, hi-ho.
It was nice to lighten the load for a while
they got some chains at those adult stores for truckers, of course thats just hearsay and Ive not seen them.IMHO
