Centramtic APU

Has anyone got any experience with one of these? I heard them talking about them on XM a few months ago and may be getting some kind of APU soon. I know I don't want ProHeat and have read up on what you think about Rigmaster and Thermo King as well.

I've only heard of Centramatic making the wheel balancers. Those are very good so I would expect if they are making an APU now it's probably also good. I have a Willis which is a top end unit that I'm pleased with as well as a Rigmaster which so far is good also. I'd also consider Blackrock if I were looking again and wanted another 'suspect'. We have the centramatics and have been very happy with the even wear on our tires. We have had a Rig Master for two years now and will never run without one. We are happy with both products.

Silly question here. I am getting ready to get in the biz. Looked at the Rigmasters and their price tag. My question is..what keeps you from using a typical Honda generator that is much cheaper?

With the Honda generator you have to carry gasoline, it will either sit on the ground or you will have to manufacture a bracket or box to sit it on. We have seen trucks use them and they usually have chain with a lock, so I imagine they must also get stolen. You then also have to have an alternate cooling and heating system. With the Rig Master you have heating, cooling and 110 generator and 12 v charging all in one package also runs off the diesel in your fuel tanks.

We have a Thermoking Tripak.
They are the Pople who makes cooling units for reefer trucks.
Ours cost $8,600 fo a complete system, and so-far it works great!

Remeber you get what ytou pay for!

No deal in the world means nothing if you cannot get it serviced, so you better know where you can have it serviced when it does not work.
