Centramatics oil leak

We had Centramatics installed on our steers about 15000 miles ago. One of them has leaked all of the oil out of it on our run from SC to NY this weekend.
I talked to the manufacturer and was told it would be best to go back to Speedco where we bought them, even though any shop that sells them can replace it for us.
He also said they would still work for a while without the oil.
I sure hope he is correct. I don't want to drive on a tire with 16 ounces of weight in the wrong place.

Take the Centramatics off, sell them on Ebaye and replace them with the powder they call Equal.I've always ran the powder til I got a free set of Centramatics.I feel no difference in ride over the powder, and use to get the same miles out of my steers, as I do with the Centramatics. Most all tire dealers have the Equal powder

I have had the powder and it worked great at higher speed. At lower speeds I could feel a little shimmy. Faster I would go, the better the powder controlled it. I would use it again if needed.

We had the Centramatics pulled off at the Petro in Waterloo, NY.
They did it for free.:)
It turns out we have heavy duty brake drums with 22.5 steel wheels. The Centamatics were being squeezed between the wheel and the brake drums wheel stops. It caused an indentation that cracked and let the oil leak out. Centramatic does not have an application for this set up. Jerry at Centramatics said to take them back to Speedco and get a credit for them as they should have never been installed.
