I just love these people get on here and cry because they get caught by a cop or a camera for speeding or running red lights then they act like the speed or red light laws should not be enforced and they plan on not paying the fine. All traffic laws should be ENFORCED with actual cops or more cameras. If you say dont enforce the traffic laws then lets not enforce any laws and open the jails/prisons and turn everyone loose murders,rapists, robbers, drunks, etc Either enforce all laws or none of them and lets see whats the old saying if you cant do the time or fine dont break the law

Are you serious? If you are you need to do some research on how radar guns operate. They have many flaws including reading a signal off of a tire that makes it look like you are speeding, the fact that it takes the reading from a larger object so if he was getting passed by a larger vehicle it registered the other driver's speed as his, and one of the biggest is that the enforcement agency does not get it calibrated since it takes time and money plus they have no reason to since most just pay the fine. The other side of it is there is no way to face the radar camera in court so that his "accuser" can be questioned which is a Constitutional right.

which is why we do not see an automated enforcements on the federal level, dern fish will never fly in WDC.
which is another rezone why we see the control freaks in office passing on regulation instead of federal laws .

As for te tickets, from a cop, no problem,,he can put it on the DRIVERS LICENCE...the camara can only assign it to the REGISTERED OWNER of the LICENCE PLATE....

Do you know that college kids are taking pictures of plates off of their "not so friendly" professors, making copies blowning them up to the proper size and putting the over plates on other cars and going out and running red lights and speeding, just to get the plate sent a ticket...

Because some anonymous camera says he was? When was it last calibrated? Was he shown any proof of this other than a ticket in the mail?

scott i really do not like those cameras and i am not going to get into a ****ing match about this with you. if he got a ticket and he knows he was doing 68 in a 55 then he needed to step up and take responsibility for his action. and it appears he will.

there is an old phrase from the 60;s that goes....if you can't do the time then don;t do the crime. applies to expediting as well.

So...Joe gets a letter in the mail from the local PD. Sure 'nuff it's a $100 ticket. They say he ran a red light, even had a picture of him going through. Joe thinks about it...then he kinda chuckles and grabs HIS camera.

Joe takes a picture of a $100 bill, sends it back to 'em.

About a week later: Joe opens another letter from the local PD. In it he finds another picture. This one shows a pair of handcuffs.

Forget where this happened, but there was a camera van, and it had an operator sitting in it. Some guys snuck up behind the van and removed the license plate, put it on another vehicle, then sped past the van several times. Sure enough, the camera company got the tickets. I'm guessing they were later vacated.

Those last 2 stories sound wishy - washy...not to say they never happened...BUT the plate would not have matched up with the registration of the vehicle....hence not paid....just aggravation over a prank...

I don't recall if they used a van or not. But the idea was more to cause headlines, embarrassment, and some expense and hassle in defending themselves, and maybe make a point about how inequitable the system can be in not being able to nail the actual offender.

Ok a couple of things...the tickest from speeding camaras and red light camaras do NOT come from the police...in most case they come from a Company that runs most of these camaras in the US," Redflex Traffic Systems Inc.' The cities do not even collect the fines and they do not even get the total amount of the fiine...Redflex has a company that collects them, the payes the cities a % of the amount...so you will not get anything from the Police..

2nd, in most cases, the people looking up the registered owner of the car or truck, aren't looking for 'make and model', just the name of the person who holds the registration...LOl, most probably couldn't tell a corsica from a Lasabre...

My point is if you did speed or run the red light and they caught you with the camera stand up and take responsiblilty for your actions. But IF you were not speeding or run the red light(which I doubt) then fight the ticket too many people in this country get caught doing something wrong and they want to make excuses, whine, blame their child hood, blame someone else, or what ever

ok this seemed to go way over what i asked.All i wanted to knowe if someone ever dealt with this before.The thing is not even a ticket i called them today and they said for sure it would not go on my record.So i will pay it due to i probably was going fast that day.IT was on the 8th of this month right before the twisters tore the state up.Some of you think people or crying or something over it which im not.Just never got a ticket of this kind but it turns out not even a ticket.that is it nothing more than a money trap but i guess if i hadnt been in a hurry i would have not had to worry about.But i dont like the idea of these things we pay cops salarys they should atleast have to get thier lazy behinds out and patrol the road i would respect them more for that.

you have to be more carefull,they post sign's up when the cameras are in use. i allways see those sign's when im driving in that area. you were speeding and not paying attention to the signs.
but that being said i got one of those ( lol ) about 8 years ago in arizon ( YES I WAS'NT PAYING ATTENTION ) . i mailed the payment in and they sent my check back a month later saying they did'nt have enough proof it was me in the picture the camera took of me. yes the camera took a picture of me speeding and they said they did'nt have enough proof.
if you do pay it send in a statement with your check it might help you out !!!!!!!!!!!!
