Last week, I finally received a reply from Canada, regarding the CDRP.
It took over 2 months for them to reply, & then, much to my surprise,
I was turned down. I won't bore you with all of the boring details, but I will give some info for you to base a reply:
1. Last traffic ticket: 1980; speeding
2. Last chargeable criminal offense: 1976: embezzelment, sentenced to
2-4 yrs; suspended for 3 yrs probation & restitution. Released from
probation after 18 mo., for "good behavior".
3. One(and only)DUI: 1970
My question is this: If I've been going in & out of Canada for over 3
years now, with no problems EVER, why, all of a sudden, am I persona
non grata? God has forgiven me, my wife has forgiven me, etc. Why not
Canada? My God! We are talking about things that happened a quarter of
a century ago!
