the new cobra radios that just came out in the last month or so are 15 watts out of the box can be peeked to 50 they do have a problem with the talk back though that a #2 pencil will cure.I'm no expert but have been around radios for awhile and did alot of looking listing and watching of my uncle who has a pretty good idea of what he's doin degree for electronics from itt and michigan state. the new cobras are not made in the states but they are available here iowa 80 has them and the cb shop on i-69 at exit 78 or so at crazy-d truck stop. but all this is away from the point a 29 series is a good radio for the money. like i said about 200.00 bucks and u got a radio that will get the job done.
oh yea radios are his hobby,has a cobra 29 in his car that well lets just say its like ma bell it can reach out and touch someone.
