Anybody got opinions on this type of engine? Good or bad.

No opinions as of yet, but we as well are shopping and comparing. The older ones have been pretty durable, but don't know on the new ones.

I tried to get one but Paccar will not put it or the ISL into a Pete 330-335. They are coming out with a heavier duty 340 in 2007? with larger engine options? The C9 has/had no EGR or twin turbo when it came out; I'm not sure now... For the power, durability, and wet sleeves, I don't think one can go wrong. The only knock I had was when it came out you could not get any type of exhaust brake, and I doubt it is avail. now with a compression (Jake) brake. The heavy Sterling 9500 is the only truck you can get it in as far as I know...
