IMO...cubes are at the low end of profit making and versatility...ONLY carry 3 skids..can NOT double stack....you always lose your bed with 3 skids...cause there is absolutely no chance to stack IF possible...and they already get crappy fuel mileage.....I'd have a box like Ntimevans no less then 72" loading height....and get an airdam installed...

I do not recall ever seeing a toll road with ability to count tires. Axles yes, tires, no.
Or am I just having a brain fart ?

actually the toll at Blue Water bridge American side...she counted my nuts......ummmm eerrrr my lug nuts that is.....she said I had 8 lug nuts hence I was a 1 ton vs 3/4T I pointed out my 2500 designation and she said ok car charge

Some would depend on the company you want to drive for. If they don't pay extra for bigger size loads it might be hard to justify a bigger vehicle. Now to contradict myself with a bigger vehicle you have more load opportunities and maybe even better you have more room for comfort. Being a team I would probably opt for the cube for that if nothing else. Its like living in a walk in closet compared to a crawl space.

With freight variance, happenstance, and overall luck in today's market......get the one you want?

I've seen some great set ups with cubes. One guy had a electric fireplace sitting on the squared off wheel wells, with knotty pine side walls, and pictures on the wall. Looked just like a small living room. More versatility with cube, toward that regard. Might as well have fun?

If it's money for primary goal.....hard to beat a Sprinter "type" vehicle, as this should fit any company need.

If teaming....I'd go cube and have the fireplace :D

My wife and I own two cubes. Yes milage sucks, but working on that. I will describe our set up.
We have a FULL sized bed, 12V Fridge, 14,000 BTU heat pump, 1,000 Watt microwave, 3,000 watt Boliy remote start inverter generator, 18,000 BTU Mr.Buddy propane indoor safe heater, 250 amp alternator, 200 amp battery isolator, 2,000 W invertor, and mattress warmer on the Beauty Rest mattress. If we have to, the bed folds up, and rolls forward, and we can still get 6 skids on the cargo floor in our 16' Morgan box.
We have gone to several places to pick up loads that were to wide or to long to get in a sprinter, or cargo van. We have even hauled an 18' 13 stage high pressure water pump inside our cube. We have 10,000 GVW on both cubes, just have to be careful when looking. Still have more changes to do, like air suspension, and air ride seats. Also have a laptop platform in the "sleeper", and scanner/ printer, so with hotspot, we are connected to internet. Forgot to mention the camper portable potty that fits under the bed.
