I personally don't think any one can answer this.If one jumps around enough to experience the different companies, they have probably have gone broke in the process.

I did 4 years in a van for FECC/Roberts Express. I moved up to a "C"because there allways seems to be a glut of vans.

I would only make this move if you can run as a team. The logging requirements greatly limit what a solo drvr can do in a straight truck.

In my opinion, there is no one right answer. I will 2nd Redytrk that there is a glut of vans. That can make slow periods VERY frustrating. I'm considering moving to a d unit, but as a solo that also presents its share of issues. I'm with a small company, Express Way, and when it's busy I'm pretty sure they would love it if I did'nt require sleep. The slow times are another story. I prefer the personal and more casual atmosphere of a small company, but that's just me.

I look at it like the different makes of cars......

If ford is / was so much better than the other companies the other companies would no be around.

For some people FCC is the best fit, for others its another company. Just go into it with plenty of reserve cash, a good attitude, a promise to yourself to look at the big picture and not day to day or week to week and give whoever you go with enough time to prove they are good.

Greg, I've been with FDXCC and On Time driving single in a van. With Fedex I hardly ever got any team loads. Anything over 700 miles is a team load. Teams do much better with Fedex than singles.

I've been with On Time for about 10 months and in that time, I've gotten more team runs than I did in 4 years with Fedex.

You don't say where you live in Indiana, but you should do well with just about anyone, especially if you are near Indianapolis, Ft Wayne or Gary. If you're near South Bend Express 1 might be a good fit.

BTW On Time only takes experienced drivers, no Canada and no hazmats.
