Carbon Monoxide Awareness

The article on the front page regarding the driver found dead in his rig got me thinking about CO and how it can affect someone in a closed sleeper area. While I didn't find much that was directly related to trucking, I did find one site that is VERY informative.

While CO poisioning may or may not have been an issue in this specific situation, it is something that everyone should be aware of.

I've got a detector that I keep sitting on the top shelf. It runs off a 9v battery. I'm not worried about my truck so much as someone parking next to me being a problem. It's definitely worth the $20 for a detector in my opinion.
