canada borders

is there any rules that you have to go by in crossing the borders with my little dog other than been shots the same old stuff here i sure would hate to turn around

Sandra, This is probably coming a little late as you sound like you were on your way to Canada when you posted but just for future info. We have our 4 shih tzu on the truck with us and we carry all their health records much like we would our own. After many trips into and out of Canada, we've never been asked for any documentation pertaining to our dogs. Now it should be noted that any time the truck stops they are "excited" thinking it's time to go out and play so they're not quiet at all, just so you know there's no chance that they could have "snuck" through. Also, the Canadian officers seem ok with pets. It is the US side that gives grief - if any.

You must have up to date rabies vacinations and the certificate to prove it.
