Rocket, it seems you might have been a bit off base on this.

There is no reason for this not to just go away. I think we can all do a lot less personal bashing and far more sticking to challenging concepts and ideas. The first is just causes trouble the second causes learning.

Thug bullies??? Really??? Seems there's only one person here that didn't "get" what everyone was saying to Sue. Of course she and everyone else here is free to post whatever they wish within the forum rules. Many of us here pay close attention to what the "other side" is saying and all that the others were doing was posting their own opinions. Last time I checked, we were still able to do that here.

Keep on keepin' on. It doesn't matter if your posts - or anyone else's for that matter - are one sided. We should be free to voice our opinions in a reasonable manner regardless what one's political philosophy happens to be. Also, it's nice to get the European perspective from time to time.

Wow! If I wrote the above response as a parody of the classic liberal mindset, it wouldn't work because it would be considered way over the top.

This is a textbook example of liberalism run amok. Liberal Guy interjects himself into a thread for the sole purpose of spreading his agenda. Similar to trying to oppress those who oppose his point of view. Oooh, where have I heard that before?

He fabricates facts out of "whole cloth" in order to create the semblance of a crisis. Oh yeah, you gotta have a crisis. And every good crisis requires a victim. Liberal Guy loves a good victim. EnglishLady meets some of the specifications for the ideal victim. She is a helpless woman and a foreigner. Additional qualities for being a prime victim would include being a racial minority and/or a GLT.

In typical liberal fashion, Liberal Guy comes to the aid of EnglishLady because she is a weak foreign woman who can't think for herself. Somebody must defend her, even though she didn't ask for or need help from Liberal Guy or anybody else and there is no threat from thug bullies trying to shout her down. Thank you Liberal Guy for coming to the aid of a women who doesn't need your assistance and probably didn't want it.

Has anyone ever listened to an entire Beck broadcast?

Not always but occasionally. His radio show is usually more of making fun of himself by using what others say about him.
On Drudge, there are sometimes links to UK papers. I like to read those to get the different prospective. It is kinda like going to Foxnews.com, CNN.com, PMSNBC.com, CBS.com, and Stripes.com(Stars and Stripes). It is hard to believe that they are covering the same story. Everyone puts their own slant on things.
CNN television was one of the most entertaining on their slant of things in Iraq while I was there. What they were reporting was usually nothing near what we were seeing.

Nothing new here. In my career I was involved in many "new making" events. NO ONCE during that time did the U.S., British or ANY news outlet even come close to reporting what really happens. Let's just say that they ALL took a bit of "journalistic license" with the facts!!
