That is just SO true!! Sad morning, not much "pot stirring" to be done. :(

well we could pat each other on the back and tell each other what a great job we do...*LOL*

OR we could order a set of tires and be OOS for 4-5 days and wait for them to be shipped in...

Let's see, you could start by blaming Bush, whining and moaning about how the "rich" are out to get you and how Cheney is running up the fuel costs!! :p

A cash reserve Phil? The scuttlebutt out in the parking lots even though business has picked up somewhat there is even more now running from load to load...they have to get a load to charge their com data card just to fuel up. These low rates you just can not go on forever..almost a year now of this..

In the nearly seven years Diane and I have been on road, through good times and bad, there has not been a day where the truck stop parking lot and lunch counters did not include the gathering of poor souls who will never be anything other than poor souls. They have the built-in radar to identify like-minded people, gather in twos, threes or small groups and reinforce the belief systems, character traits and behavior patterns that leave them absolutely convinced that they will always be poor and there is nothing they can do about it.

That does not mean all of them are unhappy in their poverty. Indeed, some are perfectly content to live the life of an upper-class street person, having a truck for shelter instead of a bridge.

I should say they are almost perfectly content. The reason they feel the need to reinforce their belief systems and justify their circumstances is the human spirit has a desire to soar. It takes a continuing effort to stomp it down.

To do so, pour souls find it helpful to gather with like-minded people. It's like an ongoing prosperity seminar in reverse. The poverty group meetings are widely available at no charge. The group therapy helps these people remain as committed to their poverty as wealthy people and those who will be wealthy are committed to their prosperity.

An important difference between the pour souls and those who will be wealthy is the desire to change. The pour souls are committed to staying where they are. Those who will be wealthy are committed to making whatever physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and business changes are necessary to bring money into their lives.

Well put Phil.

There are many out here, and in life in general, who love to wallow in their misery. They have been a victim for so long it is now their "comfort zone". It is far easier to never try, and then blame others for your failures, than it is to try to improve yourself and accept the responsibility for your lot in life.

To be sure, bad things happen to good people. The trick is to overcome them. You can go broke in many ways. You can make it in many ways. One thing for sure, you will NEVER "make it" by sitting back and letting things be done for or to you. It it always better to "go down swinging" than it is to just stand there and take the third strike.

What many seem to forget is that it is NOT the end result in life that is the most important thing. The most important thing is never giving up or in. The struggle is what gives meaning to life.

You Da Burn Skippy I have Faith in Company,

Huh??

The question Phil asked was why you feel that wallpapering the forum with duplicate posts about your situation, or even posting it just once for that matter, will help. Isn't discussing it with dispatch enough?

Being an owner/operator I am the sole benefactor of my own decisions. Be they right or wrong...decisions to stand pat or decisions to move forward..it is all on me...the buck stops here.
