As members of the Electoral College met across the nation on December 13, 2004, an unknown elector from Minnesota earned a footnote in the history books by casting his/her vote, representing 492,000 voters, for vice presidential candidate John Edwards in both president and vice president slots, omitting presidential candidate John Kerry altogether. Another Minnesota elector, who believed the Edwards vote must have been a mistake, said, "I'm certainly glad the Electoral College isn't separated by one vote." If it had been, antiquated rules overseeing the Electoral College dictate that a tied Electoral College decision would be sent to Congress, thereby subjecting that decision to the partisan environment of the legislature. Because of the way the Electoral College is set up, many voters go unrepresented or are ignored by candidates, especially in states where one candidate is supported by a strong majority of voters.

so the real working portion of government is by majority rule....with the 17th amendment in 1913 giving the power to the people...popular vote...

The 17th amendment is about the senate's popular vote not president and Vice President.

thats is what I said.......The actually working arm of the government.....Both houses are by popular vote....Tyranny is still an issue.....electorial vote doesn't solve that issue directly....

Pickup at 8. Or 10. Or 11. Or not at all...I do enjoy sleeping though, and hopefully getting wait time while I am...

This after my Sat load, where the broker was closed, and I had just laid down when they called and said they got an affiliate to do it, not in time for the crossing number before the Sat border shutdown...10 pm to 4 am...3 am delivery turned into 9 am...

That's why we charge more for weekends, shippers...

Is there a penalty for tossing paper airplanes on the employees in a secure facility? It's really boring waiting for my 10 pm update...considering I'm still sitting in here at 10:45....
