Can a daycab operate over the road and be legal ? I stay in a hotel room but I want to know if its legal. Its a boxtruck. Please help.

Don't see why not. As long as you dont work over 11/15, and take yer 10 off. Might want to have your motel reciepts handy.

Yes it is legal, I checked with the feds as I have an o/op that signed on with me using such a truck.

They advise you better have motel receipts or be able to show that you stayed somewhere 'outside' the truck - sleeping in the cab is NOT PERMITTED!

Make sure your logs are just like anyone else. Your sleeper time is invalid - go totally off duty is what they told me.

Sleep where you want. You only need to show motel receipts if you logged that you stayed at a motel. Stay with friends or pitch a little tent if you like. Unless you are in a DOT sleeper, mark it as 10 hours off duty.
