Hawaii Five-O star James MacArthur dies

James MacArthur, best known for playing Detective Dan Williams in the original Hawaii Five-O TV show, has died of natural causes at the age of 72.

That was one of my favortie shows from the 70s havent watched the remake they seem to be reamaking alot of movies and tv shows not much original anymore must be my age showing

Don't waste your time on the remake.

Under any other name, this modern cop show would be delivering the kind of Rambo-esque, testosterone-laced, high-action, and low-thinking script that is considered easy watching these days in movies and television programs. We wouldn't give it much thought. Yawn, look at 'em go. But, by attaching it to the Five-O brand, it brings in twelve years of a cultural and social landmark of television drama, and its rich history.

Young fans will just take it for what it is. Older fans, particularly, are going to look for the higher standard of the original, and they'll be disappointed. I know I was.

Uh oh watch out on this one I have to agree with Turtle. thats why when i watch movies I watch TCM or AMC on cable or watch my collection of old movies on video wish they would make a channel for on demand old movies from all the movie studios there are some that didnt get released on video and dont get played much on the movie channels

If u grew up on the old 5-0, the new remake is ok, I like it, but time moves on and a new generation would think Jack Lord old fashion( no computers or cell phones and they wouldn't recognise the cars they used, lol) I like both, the old and the new.Life moves on, lets not be old fa*ts.

My Grandfather used to watch Hawaii five O, therefore I grew up watching it LOL That is one of the ringers on my phone.
