Got to travel my old route (9 years) and it struck me how without it everything is fresh and new and light like a new girlfriend...the old one has too much baggage, every breakdown and roadside repair, winter storm, summer heat, pothole, problem delivery, blown tire, pay cut, missed family event or holiday, van I had to replace, accident or brush with death is etched in my memory...like a relationship that has gone on too long and you don't realize how much it weighs you down until it's suddenly over
Steady money, but it ground me down, and I didn't see it...life is good not knowing where the winds of freight will blow you!
