BOLT express and FIRST

Researching
Been trying to do research, and I ran across the FIRST thing at BOLT. I've tried twice to take part in it, but unfortunately truck driving got in the way --- we were either delivering or picking up loads.

Here is my question about it, Is this FIRST web presentation merely a dog and pony show about BOLT or is it a serious discusion about expediting in general and BOLT in particular? In short is it worth my effort to keep registering for these now knowing if I can make it or not?

I Lease to Bolt (I am not their employee) Been there since late Aug, took my 1st load in the 1st week of Sept., so total of 5 months. I have never been up on Bolts First deal, BUT, I'll tell you what, its an ad. I'd say it is designed to give you just enough info for you to CONTACT them and seek more info.

Way have you register with your info to see and ad? So they have contact info on anyone who is looking and when it gets slow, they can contact you, good way to build a data base......and a good marketing tool that as a bit of "interactive" user base to it. Mark talks you listen, you pay more attention then just looking at an add and reading it.

Now I might be dead wrong, but i bet im not. The only thing I will tell you is that ANNE (recruiter) or Mark (manager of recruting) will NOT LIE TO YOU. You might not always like what comes from any recruiter, but the people at BOLT are good people and want you to be as successful as you can be, simply put, the more successful you are, them more you make, the more they make. Give Anne a call, she will be happier then a wh...ok we won't go there... :D just give her a call, she will be happy to answer anything you want to know about Bolt.

Like to song sayes, "you MIGHT not ever get rich, but at least its better then diggin a ditch............":D

Hey Chef, what dletheridge is talking about is the webcast that bolt has every Tues. I think it is.
You have to go to their website and register. Not sure of the format, but they take a limited amount of people and have a web-conference I guess. I think it's like a chat program.....Anne runs it I guess. Anyone can join in, it's for drivers and 'newbies' who want to chit-chat about Bolt, or drivers asking anything their concerned with.

LOL, doesn't matter how that area does, if they keep you busy you won't be 'seeing' home very often!
Not sure about straight trucks, but I have a good friend that lives in Chattanooga Tn., he's in a van and he's been sitting home 'in service' since just before Christmas with not one load offer. Up until about mid Dec. he never had a problem getting loaded from that area. Are you driving for someone or an o/o?

I sat through one of the FIRST presentations, if you cant get into it dle you're not missing very much. Pretty much all the info Mark went over is readily available on the Bolt website all ready. There is a chat window where you can ask questions at the end of the presentation, but I couldn't get it to work when I tried it. Then when its over you get a survey that pops up and I filled it out and put in my contact info but never heard from them, so I guess the survey doesn't get looked at. So IMO you're probably just as well to just spend some time going through the website.

I have been loaded out of knoxville TN a few times, but i am in a van. I am sure you will get a load out of there, and then it make no difference where your from, it just depends on where you are, that is until you return home, then it matters again.:D

You will do fine....remember, they are going to dispatch you up to maybe 200 miles away, just depends on if there are any trucks closer....
