I was reminded tonight that you may have had an allergic reaction to the soap you used to wash them with.
Not divulging the gory details here but I had a problem with a shirt I purchased in NYC that was made in Panama. I washed it in tide (I try to do this with everything I buy) and the day after I washed it, I wore it. That night I ended up at the hospital. There was something in the fabric of the shirt that was brought out with Tide and I understood from the store there were a bunch of complaints like mine. I got a refund and compensation for missing my flight and the extra night at the hotel.
Now this seems to be isolated but since then, there are a few detergents I can not use because of the problems I have wearing the clothing they are washed with.
Just a thought.

I have to use "free and clear" detergent or I get this itchy rash that... Well, it's just uncomfortable.
