IF I had the resources and time I would. I have no love for any political machine regardless of party. Neither are honest, neither has the best interest of the nation in the forefront. They are only out for THEIR power and glory. Do I believe Obama is as crooked as a mountain road? You betcha! Do I believe that almost every other politician from any party is crooked? You betcha. Every time I meet one, shake their hand, I spend an hour with a good, strong soap and water. I also check to insure that I still have my watch and was not pick pocketed.

I, unfortunately do not have the time nor the ability. Instead I am going to spend the next week spoiling my granddaughter.

Mind you blogo is an idiot for being caught but look at what has gone on even with our great leader between his SS and VP. Just because that is the "way it is done" does not make it right nor does it mean that we should accept it. This activity should be done away with along with those who participate in this sort of thing. The government belongs to the people, not the political parties. What has happened to our political system is very much akin to grand theft.

The old system was the state had the right to select a senator the way they felt it should be done. IF a governor sold the seat to the highest bidder, then it is a state issue, not a federal one and in this case the governor was trying to sell the seat and got caught. The problem isn't with selling the seat but rather with the intent of personal gain.

Blagovejich was doing what most politicians would have done in that situation. He just wasn't very good at it. He is just a symptom of what is going on politically in this country. The first question is always, "What's in it for me?" Not, "How does this help the country?" I would like to see a election where the president, 1/3 of the senate and all of the house were up for election and not one single vote is cast. That might shake things up a little.

Well putting into the context of history, in the last 50 years, we have had a better system that works for the voter than we ever had. Read about what voting was like during the 1840's - even consider watching the Gangs of New York to get an idea what it was like (which is a good movie but nothing like the book).

since people carry this right as something important, many miss the mark that voting also has an obligation in order for it to count. You as a voter have to participate in government to make it work, but as soon as you don't, then it can't work. This is the problem we have today, we don't have people participating as we should and this industry is the near perfect example to that.

It would not surprise me if Obama was involved. It is Chicago and it is the Dumb-O-Crats.

If Blago has some incriminating info he will sing to the Feds like Frank Sinatra. I don't think he'll do jail to well. He either waits for his pardon,which could take awhile or he starts singing his greatest hits. I'll bet on the latter.

Lets see all the charges will run concurrent maybe he'll get 10 yrs....parole after 1/3 of that time...qualify for early release work program...and maybe a few months at the recreation camp in the woods...
