Several members have mentioned the old converted Ford F350's that were some of the first trucks to have sleepers with Roberts Express.

Thanks to Dave Mayfield for sending me this pic, thought I'd share! And you think you have a little sleeper! Standard sleeper was a 24" or 36" coffin sleeper. Standups were luxury.

That was the old Ford Super Duty with a International Diesel that I believe had a 4- 5 year unlimited mileage warranty. I always thought they were top heavy and could easily turn over or be blown off the highway. While crature comforts were minimal that truck cost about $30,000 with revenue rates that were greater then today. Many folks earned decent returns with that vehicle.

Anyone have any pics of a Ford E-series with a sleeper? E350 or E450?

I've actually seen a couple F series trucks with a sleeper, but they were pullin' a gooseneck trailer.

Dave had sent that picture to us as we wen't sure if it is one of our old F350 units. C484. We had three of these units at one time as the total vehicles you could have at the time was three. Only one had the bug deflector but we can't remember which one.
We will look up some older pictures and see if we can figure it out.
