Big Macs to fuel big trucks

McDonald’s customers in Britain will be indirectly helping power a fleet of trucks when they order a Big Mac and fries from now on.

The British press reports that McDonald’s is converting its entire United Kingdom truck fleet to biodiesel – and that the fuel for the 155 trucks will come largely from its own used cooking oil.

Even though they have the Ministry of whatever's support, the Ministry of Finance is upset and trying to figure out how they can tax the oil again (after taxing the original processing and purchase) in order to capture more revenue for the additional use of the oil as a road tax.
