Better Coffee

I call it Cowboy Coffee: No, its not new, its just me. I still use my Mr. Coffee machine, but I put my fresh grounds in the pot and let the hot-water hit the grounds as usual, except no coffee is in the filter basket. Yep, one big swirled up mess of coffee grounds in hot-water for the length of time it takes for all the water to run thru the machine. Ok, wow, imho, the coffee is much smoother and taste great. How do I know that? I had another pot made in the usual way you normally would use a Mr. Coffee. smile...

I then pour the finished coffee through a fine wiremess filter that you might normally use and wallaugh, the coffee is filtered now, no grounds and its good.

Oh the great coffee debate goes on and on. For me Mr Coffee does not provide the temperature high enough for good coffee.
My best results are with the good old fashion Presto Percolator.

I've had 4 cups in my life and all 4 were awful. I wish I'd put the price of a cup of coffee every day into savings starting during college days. Oh well.

If only I had put the price of a pack of cigarettes every day in the bank for the 50 years since I quit. I wouldn`t be doing what I`m doing now.

I'm not sure what order but one cup adding milk gradually until it was probably 50/50 and it was awful no matter how much milk. One cup adding sugar a spoon at a time until I had about 8 or 9 spoons of sugar and awful either way. My mom used milk only and my dad used sugar only but neither one used anywhere near as much as I used. One day was both milk and sugar in case me being a blending of the two of them meant I needed to blend their coffee formula. Also awful. And one day was just black in case somehow me being a blending of them cancelled out both milk and sugar and it was awful too. That was about 38 years ago. Never touched it again.

Yeah, a friend has a kid that smokes, about 20 years old. About a pack a day smoker. I asked him if he'd like it if someone handed him $750,000. Duh, of course. Well, quit cold turkey and put the price of a pack a day into a savings account and when you're 65 that will be your social security. He's too young and too dumb though so he'll keep on smoking.

I call it Cowboy Coffee:
Ya, next time you make da coffee add a raw egg, shell and all, you betcha. Poot da ground coffee in a bowl and add the whole egg. Den yer beat da stuffing outa da egg, add some water and beat it more until you have a tick gooey paste. Add dis mixture to boiling water, turn down the heat and wait about 5 minutes for all dat foam to subside. Whoopy ding, ya got yerself some of dat Swedish Coffee. Ya, it goes great wit da lefse and da lutefisk.
