BEST expedite company in the world!

I was reading about the 'biggest'. now lets see who has the best! come on driver...if you feel your company is the cream of the crop, then lets hear about it.

there is a rule though. you have to list what size truck you drive because the rules apply differently to different size trucks. some companies have happy cargo van drivers but unhappy tractor drivers and others are vice versa.

so what is it about your company that is just amazing?

i will start with this. i drive a cargo van. i dont like the fact that you sit more than other companies but the rate per mile averages are a lot higher. my average rate per mile right now is 1.47 but my miles are few. so in essence i think fedex cc pays very well per mile or per load actually since they dont have a set cpm rate. :+

Well I will only say this

The best company is the one that fits you the best.

RE: BEST expedite company in the world?

come on greg! i know that. but do you love who you drive for? why? is there just one thing you think is the best. i know each company has their pros but what about you on a personal level. what is it that YOU love? that one small thing that may seem insignificant to others?

As long as you run, you don't miss one, I suspect, an that's the way it should be.

I personally could care less what company I drive for, as long as they keep me running. That also goes for pay per mile. I would be happy to work for bolt if they can keep me running and help me make the kind of money that I need to make.

Like hurron stated in the original post; he makes a decent amount of money per mile, but his company does not have a lot of miles for him to run. That is fine, as long as he can run enough miles at a higher contracted rate per mile to meet his yearly objectives. That's the name of the game, to set a goal that you want to achieve and work towards achieving that goal.

Like in my case. I realize that cargo vans are very limited and freight is scarce for us. But I can make it on 40 thousand dollars a year after expenses. That is what I made as an over the road truck driver, and that is all I need to earn in order to meet my financial goals in life. I will work 11 months out of the year and be available for freight the entire time if that is what it is going to take to meet my objective. That's my take on the matter. I don't care if I work for a big company or a small company. As long as they treat me fairly and keep me running.
