Just ANOTHER example of how bad our news media is. We could spend hours on the lies, half-truths and bias of ALL the major news outlets. There is seldom anything that ANY of them speak about, other than the day and date, that I trust what they say. They are NO better, and most likely owned, by those two criminal organizations that we call political parties. You are looking just a "TAD" one sided here witness. Got any examples of all the other lies from all the other networks?

Does it matter? Fox is the leader in "news" outlets and nobody watches the other networks anyway.
It's funny though, I post something about Fox, Beck, Rush, Hannity etc, etc and you say how bad our media is but you ask if I have any examples of the other networks, who cares if they all lie? I have a sneaky suspicion that you secretly watch and or listen to the above and are offended that I threw up a negative post about them. Especially when we have others on here throwing up one sided strories and I really don't think you've ever asked them if they have another side of the story. hmmmmm........makes you wonder.
I try to watch/listen to ALL of the outlets.That way I can get all the garbage and lies from all sides. I DON'T trust ANY of them.

EVERY news story that I KNOW things about in my entire adult life, when I see information written or broadcast, I find lies, half-truths, mis-information or a TOTAL lack of background or knowlege. That goes for Foolish Fox, The Communist News Network (CNN) Crummy Broadcast Company (CBS) Nutty Broadcast System (NBC) Awful Broadcast Company (ABC) and last but not least the Horrible LooneyTunes News. (Head Line News). As to print, they went down hill while I was a kid.
Just as I am consistent in my mis-trust of BOTH of those criminal organizations that we call political parties, I am consistent in my non-belief in our news rating networks.
Don't try to put words in my mouth please. You are free to agree or disagree with any and all that I say. Just be sure NOT to assume. THEY ALL SUCK VOTE THEM OUT, and, DON"T BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY!! That goes for EVERY politition from BOTH major parties AND ALL major news outlets. Is that clear?

I agree. I really wish that we could get some HONEST just plain reporting on things. There is LITTLE we can do short of just NEVER buying a paper, watching TV new or listening to radio news. Our news outlets are doing this nation a HUGE dis-service. Their bad, biased and just plain foolish so called reported is costing us jobs, slowing or preventing work on REAL issues and destroying our Republic. Other that than they are ok.

I agree with you totally Layout, the only reason I listen and or watch these programs is solely for entertainment (it's a guilty pleasure). I just don't see the same zeal and scrutiny towards a few on this web-site that you have towards the media, politicians and others. It leaves one to wonder just how close you share these views is all.

I wouldn't know. You told me long ago that CNN, FOX and all the other news organizations are bad so I quit watching, reading, and listening to them...

Well there is something else that everyone forgets, including any judge, Domain Names are not protected first amendment items.

There have been several books written about this subject; probably the best is Bias: a CBS insider exposes how the media distort the news, by Benard Goldberg. I'm sure we all remember how Dan Rather tried to influence a presidential election by misrepresenting as fact a totally fabricated story about George Bush's National Guard service. Most reporters would have been shunned for presenting lies as news, but Rather's cronies rallied around him nontheless when he was shown the gate at CBS. There was also the Jason Blair business at the New York Times - at least some heads rolled when it was discovered he was writing fiction and claiming it was factual. These are only a couple of the most blatant examples of our mainstream "news" organizations not paying attention to the truth.

You know the case about Rather is rather a lengthy one going back to 1963. He has a rather unique track record, and did false reporting of an event a few times knowing he was lying. I feel when the Bush thing broke, he should have been yanked off the air that night when it was proven that it was a falsified document, CBS immediately terminated his contract and made a big deal about his false reporting and show they would not stand for it because of ethics of CBS. Now we have couric who is a idiot and the reason CBS news is in the dumpster.

Very good point witness23 He NEVER asks for the other side of the issue with Burgerflipper the tax cheater posts. His claims of hating all the news media seems to not hold water. Layoutshooter outed again.

Frankly, Str8Shooter, you are boring and not worth the effort. IF you and Witness are NOT capable of understanding the difference between dumping on news agencies and letting members here have their fun, well, you are further gone than I thought. NO ON in here is in the position to assist in major cover-ups or have great influence on national elections or policy. The so-called news agencies do and SHOULD be held to a higher standard. As should our criminal polititions. SO, unless you have a problem with the POLICY that I subscribe to I suggest you either grow up, OR, talk about trucking.
