Battery Charging

What are some suggestions for charging my deep cycle coach batteries? I have a E350 Diesel Van and I have been charging through a tap off the charge line going to my trailer hitch; however, I believe these are typically 5 amp's and it neve seemed to be enough to recharge my 27 series deep cycle ( 2 Each).
I was thinking about tapping into the charge line for the 2nd starting battery under the cargo doors on pass. side using a battery wire.

Had two deep cycle batts in my GMC one tonner. They were tied together with batt cable. Don't remember the size of wire. The batt pos wire went through a solenoid that was controlled by ignition. Then it went to the pos on the truck batt. With ignition off, they could discharge to their hearts' content. With ignition on and engine running, they were tied in to the battery and the alternater and would get a healthy drink as needed. The neg wire went straight to the batt neg. Worked great.

It's because that's where Nascar got them (only on the driver side)...

If you like a real challenge ?
stop at a John Deer Dealer , ask them where the big 8,000 series is , and take an hour or 2 to find the dern battery's...

IF, I sat as much as many of you do using juice, i'd look into some solar panels. They work wonders for batterys that are abused.

Finally? Might "wanna" consult yer owners manual sooner than later!!

In the case of batterys Ive always have known that a trickle charger from wal-mart sells will work wonderful, as you are waiting for dispatch just start charging, and the wal-mart employees Will leave you alone because they will think your broke down. You can always plug into the Walmart light poles.
Good Day!

Yer right dave, there are places the trees aren't as big as the truk. But ya gotta keep the cab/sleeper in the shade wilst keeping the collector in the sun, wilst yer look'in for freight to git outa dodge. I wuz "luckey", never had the nuthin to do problem after I quit contract'in.
