Banned Member Reaches A New Low....

With 2 questionable posts removed this morning, one containing much sympathy and PRAYERS for a fellow member and the second containing taunts of "gotcha" to the membership at large, I think it's appropriate to open this subject for discussion.

We're all aware that we live in a world of sickos these days but yet we still have the heart to express compassion for a member that is reported to be in distress.

What took place here this morning pretty much takes the cake. While the posts have been removed, the outrage of the membership continues....as it should.

The "new low" that I speak of is this....the claims about the member made in the post had the potential of creating problems between him and his carrier. The sicko that did/does this needs to be dealt with in the harshest way possible.

This has been an ongoing problem for quite some time, the questionable banned member knowing that the main administrator of the forum is now back on the road with his online time perhaps limited. What a wonderful citizen of the community.....one that takes advantage of ALL circumstances for their own entertainment!

I opened this thread for two reasons....1. for the membership to vent, in a reasonable way PLEASE. 2. for the membership to make suggestions to the admin team.

I'm not doing this to bring criticism in any way shape or form to the management or volunteers of EO, it's just obvious that some changes are in order and I'd like to see the membership involved in that process.

To the membership...please post your rants (keep it clean and decent) against this banned member and then offer your ideas and suggestions for the changes that need made.

I should elaborate on the types of changes I'm speaking of. The approval for new membership process is in question. This "person" came here in the middle of the night, joined, and then proceeded to slander another member all in one fell swoop. I think software settings, at a minimum, are in order...perhaps even moving to manually approving with confirmation of IP identity?

ISP addresses can be traced back to the the owner of the account...that thread and all necessary info needs to be turned over to law enforcement and Joe's lawyer...nothing like that should ever happen here again.....an example neds to be set....

Some people are just worthless trash and never will be anything else. I don't know what's involved but it may be our forum has to go to what another of my forums does, with the first 5 posts of every new member having to be approved before showing up. That probably won't eliminate the problem but may at least minimize it.

It's not just one banned member wreaking havoc here, Steady Eddie. It's two working in tandem, with a third offering encouragement. It's well known who the mischiefmakers are and one who is their chief cheerleader. It's about time to call them out.

Wow, this is the lowest of the lowest that I have ever seen. Something seemed fishy about the post. I talked with Joe on the phone once, didn't get to meet him, but he didn't sound like a guy that would start fights and get arrested for them.

I really hope that Joe goes after this sick individual.

I don't think it would be wise to speculate publicly on any individual names. Too much "noise" has been made already about specific names and the only purpose that serves is to embolden the individual.
