back to normal

Judging from the recent posts,it looks like things are back to normal here on EO.

It seems every year at expo time everyone is so happy and nice to everyone, and we are all one big happy family. Then about a week goes by and 1 or 2 "family" members makes an off color remark or two and BOOM we are right back at each others throats.

Has anyone else noticed this phenominon,or am I just imagining it?

LOL!! That reminds me of a story!! Back in 1969, just prior to joining the Army, our family band was playing for a wedding at a local VFW hall. We got there early to set up AND before we could start I informed my dad that there was going to be AT LEAST one fight and one stabbing there that evening. He asked why? Well, I said, the Grooms kids were running up to the Bride and calling her "Aunt Patty"!! There WERE several fights and a stabbing that night. Nothing like a good old fashioned "DownRiver" wedding to get the "Blades Flashing"!!!

Yep, DD, you been around to see it. Like any 'family' we have our dysfunctional side LOL.

Every family has that drunk Uncle or weird cousin who shows up and causes a fuss, or embarasses ya .. (by the way.. if you think your family doesn't have one.. it's YOU)

It is kind of funny when you go to the Expo and you see people you have not seen all year you feel somewhat like a huge extended family at a family reunion. Even though you might disagree with someone most of the time you still consider them part of the family and care about how they are doing.

When you look back at the join dates and think about how many years we have all been communicating with each other how can we not care? Another view point on any issue is not always a bad thing.

Until next year and we can do it all over again!

Good point Linder,
Every year I see people at the Expo I don't agree with! But ya know what? We talk, laugh, and even JOKE about what goes on online. It's not about disagreeing, it's about RESPECT.

Also, I've noticed, many people ARE NOT the same in person, as they APPEAR online. .. some are exactly the same tho.. LOL...

Some I thought would be a pain, are nice guys in person! BUT dang.. ya get back online the NEXT day... and.. well, ya know ;)

Dale what I have found in the past is often after I have met someone face to face I have a much better understanding of where they are coming from. My tolerance level goes up and so does my patience and I can read between the lines. As you say Respect is the key even if you do not agree all posts.

I know I am a newbie! Not very many days go by that I do not learn something new and realize once again how new I am to Expediting. We have been around trucking forever but Expediting is a whole new wonderful ballgame that we will never master.. Now that is enough to make you want to get up everyday and play the game somemore.
